Beyonce' show canceled
Beyonce's show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia has been canceled due to her rufusal to obey the country's dress code. Many muslim groups protested the singer's concert and this led to the cancellation.

Jay-Z planning to release a new album in November
Rapper Jay Z has recorded a new album based on the movie American Gangster. Jay Z was inspired by the movie saying that it brought back many memories. He says the album will be more like what his fans are use to hearing him make unlike his latest album Kingdom Come.The movie in which he based his album on stars Denzel Washington, Russel Crowe and TI. The album is planned to be released November 6 which is only 4 days after the movie will premier in theaters.

As we can all see Kanye West has won the battle of the sales against 50 Cent. Kanye West's graduation sold 930,251 copies while 50 only sold 659,682. Both of them should be extremely proud because the sales are great. I'm actaully glad Kanye won because he has had some great singles plus the reviews on his album are pretty good.
So Congrats to Kanye!!

Update on the Battle of the sales
I thought you all might want to know how the sales battle between 50 Cent and Kanye West are going. Well according to billboard.com Kanye is winning the race between him and 50 Cent! heres the article:

Kanye West looks to top next week's The Billboard 200 chart, according to results that will be posted later today (Sept. 12) on Nielsen SoundScan's new Building Charts feature.
All eyes are on the Sept. 11 album schedule, with anticipated new releases by West, 50 Cent and Kenny Chesney. SoundScan's recently launched Building Charts post unweighted tracking-week sales from eight leading accounts through close of Tuesday each Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET, and sales through Thursday each Friday afternoon.
Billboard has learned that today's SoundScan Building Chart indicates first-day sales of 437,000 for West's "Graduation," 310,000 for 50 Cent's "Curtis" and 107,000 for Chesney's "Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates." The Building Charts offer an indication of how races shape up each week for SoundScan's final charts, which post projected national sales each Wednesday morning, extrapolated from a panel of merchants that represents more than 90% of the U.S. music market.
Retailers now contributing data to the Building Charts include Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Borders, Circuit City, iTunes, Target, Anderson Merchandisers and Handleman Co. The last two mentioned are rackjobbers that place music into mass merchants, including WalMart's stores. More retailers will be added to that panel in the near future.
Some pundits project West will surpass 750,000. His own August 2005 release, "Late Registration," was the last album to start above that mark. It bowed at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with opening sales of 860,000 copies and led the chart for two weeks. The largest sales week this year belongs to Linkin Park's "Minutes to Midnight" with 623,000, while Rascal Flatts' "Me and My Gang" had the biggest frame of 2006 when it started at 722,000.

Sour grapes from Kanye West — again. Shut out at the Video Music Awards, Kanye West threw a tantrum Sunday night in front of media and crew backstage as the MTV show was ending.
West, waiting for an elevator in a crowded hallway, began yelling about losing all five categories for which he was nominated.
"That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance," West said, stomping around his entourage and directing his comments at a reporter. "I'm trying hard man, I have the ... number one record, man."
West said he never will return to MTV.
The rapper was nomination for five awards, including male artist of the year. This is the latest in a series of awards show outburst for West. Last year, he crashed the stage at the MTV Europe Awards after not winning for best video.
My opinion: LOL. Kanye is too funny sometimes. People win and lose all the time but its not an excuse to act like your 7 years old. Somebody give him an award before he hurts somebody or himself.

Halle Berry has confirmed the rumors that she is 3 months pregnant with her first child.The 41 year old actress is pregnant by her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. A statemet form Berry said:
"Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life," Berry said in the e-mail.

R.Kelly's trial postponed again.
For all those who thought R. Kelly's pending case was finally going to be brought to court, think again. It has been 5 years since R. Kelly was arrested for having sex with a girl who was 14 years old and it has yet to be brought to court. The trial was going to begin on September 17 but the judge decided to reschedule. The judge decided to postpone the trial after hearing the lead prosecutor had just had a baby and wouldn't be ready to be in court on the set date. The RnB singer was charged with 21 counts of child pornography and if convicted could serve up to 15 years. A new court date has not been set.
