Orish of 702 has passed away.
Orish Grinstead was one of the members of 90's RnB 702 before she left to pursue a solo career. Unfortunately Orish passed away on Monday from kidney failure. She was 27.
Sadly I was not able to find a picture of 702 with Orish in it but her twin sister, Irish, is the one to the left in the picture. Tast3ofRoyalty would like to send the Grinstead family condolences.
Chilli of TLC has her album title (Confirmed)
After many years of anticipation, Chilli has finally got her solo career rolling. She has been all over the radio for the past few weeks introducing her new single Dumb Dumb Dumb. She was also featured on the cover Sister Sister Magazine. Well now she has given her solo album a title. The name of the album is Bi Polar.The reason behind the album title is the fact that the album is filled with many different sounds.

Chase's Closet Meet and Greet With T-boz (pics)
T-boz of TLC had a meet and greet at her childrens clothing store Chase's Closet(named after her daughter) on Monday. The meet and greet supported the children's foster care system in Texas. T-boz has been working alot with helping children. She recently announced that she started a charity fund that would give sick children a chance to record a song and have it played on the radio. YAY for T-Boz! but anyways these are some more pics from the event.

Teenage Love Affair is the third single off her most recent album As I Am.
Kanye engagement called off.
Reports say that Kanye and his long time girlfriend Alexis Phifer have broken up. The couple have dated on and off for about 6 years. A friend of the couple spoke to USmagazine.com.He stated,
"They'd been having problems. Kanye is really focused on his show; he's putting everything into the show right now. Alexis is a nice girl, but Kanye has been going through a rough time. They hit a rough patch and for now they've split."
The couple had been engaged for about a year and a half before they split.
Pretty Ricky have found a replacement for Pleasure P
Last summer I posted the news of Pretty Ricky's Pleasure P left the group to go solo. Well they have a new singer who goes by the name of Ambition(pictured in the black hoodie). Well I like the group because of Pleasure but I won't speak badly of the group until I hear some new material with this group.

Omarion Dropped!!!
Former B2K lead singer turned soloist, Omarion was dropped from Columbia a few days ago. Not much has been said but a source did confirm to BV Buzz (http://www.blackvoices.com) that he was dropped. Omarion signed a deal with Columbia back in 2003 when B2K broke up. He released 2 solo CD's and a duet Album with Rapper Bow Wow.
I wouldn't be to worried about him though. He is a great performer and singer and I bet he will have a new deal in no time.

FOxy Brown Released from prison.
Today around 10:45 Foxy Brown was released from jail after serving her 8 month sentence. Foxy was sentenced back in September after she violated her probation by being arrested for altercations nail salon employees and assaulting a neighbor with a BlackBerry cell phone.
Now that she is released Foxy plans on releasing her New album Brooklyn's Don Diva , which is due for release May 13.

New Outkast album in 2009
In a recent interview Big Boi announced that he and Andre were releasing a new album in 2009. In the mean time Big Boi and Andre both will be releasing solo albums.
Big Boi Stated:
"I drop my [solo album] in July, Dre puts his out [later this year], and we drop that Outkast record at the top of [next] year."
While doing an interview back in Feburary Andre Stated
"My solo album should be out this fall. Big Boi's album should be out this summer. So look forward to a new Outkast album after that," Andre said. "We don't even have a date. We just know we have commitments and [we] just try and get in there and do it."
The actual date of the Outkast album is not yet known.Big Boi's solo album is titled
Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty and his first single is Royal Flush.

Jay-z and Beyonce wed!!
FINALLY! Reports that the couple got married on Friday. In attendance was Kelly, , Solange,Tina and Matthew Knowles, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. The wedding took place at Jay-z's Tribeca building. Reports of a possible wedding began on Tuesday when the couple took out a marriage license.
I would've reported earlier but I wanted proof.We all know its has been speculated and they have been rumored to be married like 5 times already.
I'm extremely excited for them and wish them a happy long marriage.

In his new Autobiography The Truth, The whole Truth and Nothing but, Bobby Brown tells all about his 15 year marriage to pop Diva Whitney Houston. In the book he writes the Following:
On Drug use
"I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice," Brown writes in "Bobby Brown: The Truth, the Whole Truth and Nothing But," out next month. Jay-Z has a new contract with Live Nation
Rapper Jay-z plans on leaving record label Def Jam to sign a new deal with Live Nation. The deal is roughly about a $150 million package and includes recordings, tours. So far this is Live Nations biggest contract. At this momment Jay-z still has one more studio album under his contract with Def Jam but he is also on a tour with Mary J Blige that is under Live nation.

Blaque is back with a new reality Show
As a big fan of TLC I found it hard not to like Blaque. I'm actually looking foward to this. What do you think of Blaque's comeback?
Sean Levert 1969-2008
Sean Levert,member of the early 90's group Levert, which included his late brother Gerald, died on Sunday night. At the time Levert was being held in custody of the Cuyahoga Community Jail in Cleveland Ohio for unpaid child support. Reports say that Levert began acting irregularly and was rushed to the hospital. He died not long after arriving at the hospital. The actual cause of death is not known, but the family is asking for an investigation. Levert was waiting to be transferred to another prison to begin his 22 month sentence. This is another tragic lost to the Levert family. Just in November 2006 Gerald Levert(grammy award winning singer) died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. For those that don't know, Gerald and Sean are the sons of the O'Jays lead singer Eddie Levert.

Attention All No Doubt fans!!! It has been about years since their last album Rock Steady.According to Gwen Stefani, the group is back in the studio working on a new album.There is no title for the album or an exact release date as of yet but expect the album some time next year.
Ok so the album isn't due until 2009 but the anticipation is exciting right?lol
